Welcome to Discovery Academy of Science (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our service—whether you sign in via Google OAuth or by any other means—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using our service, you expressly agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. You represent that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration & Google OAuth

• Google OAuth: You may sign in using Google OAuth. We request only the basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) needed to create and manage your account.
• Your Responsibilities: You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Use of the Service

• License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our service in compliance with these Terms.
• Prohibited Conduct: You may not reverse-engineer, tamper with, or misuse our service. Do not upload malicious code or infringing content.

4. User Content

• Any text, files, images, or other content you submit remains your property. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service.
• We do not claim ownership of your content but reserve the right to remove anything that violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Image Uploads

If you use our image-upload feature, you agree that:

• You own or have permission to use the images you upload.
• Images must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (no illicit or copyrighted material).
• We may remove or refuse to store images at our discretion.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• “As-Is”: We provide the service without warranties of any kind. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• Liability Cap: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the fees you paid in the last 12 months, or $100 if you paid nothing.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at any time, with or without cause. You may also delete your account by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We’ll post the revised version here with a new “Updated” date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute must be brought in the courts of Florida.
